Hi future neighbor! I traveled the country and lived in many places and East TN is now where I call home.

As an agent I searched the entire country for land to build with the long term goal of retirement and the best places to retire as part of our criteria. We searched for 2 years around the country. We were looking for inexpensive land in comparison to the rest of the country and no state tax, no retirement tax, I found a few listings in the Hancock county area and we took a ride!
We purchased our property and went through the building process, excavation, well, septic then construction etc.
In the end we found that its really like going back to the 50's ....in a very good way. A hand shake still gets you a mans word and country people are the soul of this place.
